Previously, the web address https://folk.ntnu.no/ was formatted as folk.ntnu.no/username/ and https://org.ntnu.no/ was formatted as https://org .ntnu.no/groupname/, that is, as a first path of the path.

In addition, it has been possible for to use username.folk.ntnu.no' andgroupname.org.ntnu.no’, that is, as a subdomain.

In order to simplify use and the service, addresses in this form:

• folk.ntnu.no/username/* will be forwarded to username.folk.ntnu.no/*
• org.ntnu.no/groupname/* will be forwarded to groupname.org.ntnu.no/*

For a short period, it’s possible that we will also be forwarding:

• username.folk.ntnu.no/username/* to username.folk.ntnu.no/*
• groupname.org.ntnu.no/groupname/* to groupname.org.ntnu.no/*

making it possible to capture cases where an absolute path has been used for resources like images, css, javascript etc.,
